Marriott Named to Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For List

Fortune Magazine recognized Marriott International as an All-Star, one of 13 companies to earn 100 Best Companies to Work For honors since 1998. Marriott was the only U.S.-based lodging company named to this year's list and one of three headquartered in Maryland. It ranked 82nd, one of only four companies listed with more than 100,000 employees.

"Delivering an employment experience that is responsive to the cultural differences and unique needs of a workforce that spans 68 countries and 50 languages can be challenging, but rewarding," said David Rodriguez, executive vice president, global human resources.

Marriott was also recognized for its diversity and inclusiveness. Its diverse workforce represents more than 60 percent minorities and 55 percent women. An example of its wide-ranging reach is Chairman and CEO J.W. "Bill" Marriott, Jr.'s annual letter to employees, which is translated in 28 languages.
