Vivendi Entertainment has promoted Yolanda Macias to Executive Vice President of Business Development and Acquisitions. Formerly, she was SVP of business development and acquisitions.
Macias will continue to be responsible for sourcing and acquiring content from producers and indie studios for theatrical and home entertainment distribution.
"Yolanda has been an indispensable part of the successful growth of Vivendi Entertainment through her leadership in the area of business development," said Tom O'Malley, president of Vivendi Entertainment.

Prior to joining Vivendi Entertainment, Macias was vice president of DirecTV Spanish language platform and International Services for DirectTV. While there, she launched and oversaw all aspects of the Spanish-language and Chinese-language programming service as well as international and ethnic programming developments for DirecTV.
Macias served on the board of directors for the T. Howard Foundation, promoting the employment of minorities in the satellite industry.
